AN INVITATION FROM PROFESSOR NICK BINEDELL

South Africa continues to need outstanding leaders. This is particularly true in the business world, which is the engine of growth and the dominant creator and provider of work.

This conference is a loud call to action - we need leaders who build winning businesses and who truly release the full potential of the people who work there!

Please join us as and be a part of this call. We will learn from the lives and the leadership of a selection of South Africa's finest business leaders and from two major world authorities on new ways to lead in a changing and dynamic world.

INTRODUCTION

It is becoming increasingly more complex to lead. South African business leaders need to be fully equipped to succeed. We need to step up the capacity to execute in our organisations and we have to grow and nurture world class leaders. Our objective at the conference is to learn from the best and to explore new ways to lead, ways that dramatically increase productivity and competitiveness and also the quality of our lives and working experience.

The Leadership Habits conference will enable leaders to learn from leaders about the leadership habits that create winning businesses in South Africa, and about excelling in a global business environment. Not only have we invited South Africa's best leaders to contribute, but we will also be joined by world renowned leadership expert Professor Gary Hamel and the Brazilian business leader, Ricardo Semler. They will share from their rich global experience on leadership, management innovation and succeeding as a leader in the 'next century of work.'

Leadership is a powerful catalyst. Learning how to lead in South Africa today is your organisations most important investment. We must equip our leaders to win in the organisations and marketplaces in which they operate. Respected role models are vital. So too is the transfer from leader to leader of the leadership habits that work in South Africa.

AT THE CONFERENCE YOU WILL LEARN:

  1. How our Business Champions, who are leaders of some of South Africa's finest organisations, are growing winning businesses in markets that are complex, rapidly evolving and fiercely competitive?

  2. How Ricardo Semler, President of Semco SA, found a new way to lead and in the process overcame huge obstacles to grow a small family owned business into a giant of the South American economy?

  3. About Professor Gary Hamel's, groundbreaking new leadership lessons from his latest research at the London Business School's Management Innovation Lab.

  4. Plus, you will participate in the Leadership Hour, a unique opportunity to interact in small working groups with a South African leader whose life and leadership example we admire.

For 1 day only, GIBS comes to the Sandton Convention Centre, for the most innovative leader to leader conference of the year.

The conference has been designed for senior leaders and their teams. It is also the ideal opportunity to expose up and coming leaders to the latest thinking on business leadership in South Africa today.

Don't miss this unique opportunity. Book a TABLE and bring your TEAM along. Act now. This event will be sold out.

We are pleased to announce that as of 1 June 2007, Business Day has been appointed the official media partner to The Leadership Habits of South Africa's Business Champions conference.
